What Is The Experience Like?
The experience is the closest feeling you’ll get to flying like a bird. You’ll cruise in comfort in an ultralight at speeds up to 100+ mph in the most state-of-the-art flying motorcycle in the Pacific! Totally different from any other aerial experience such as paragliding, gliders, or sky diving! Our open-cockpit ultralight has the safety and comfort of an engine so we can choose where we want to go and see what we want to see as if we are “floating on a cloud!”

Is It Safe?
Powered hang gliders are considered one of the safest forms of flight. Hang Gliding Hawaii’s aircraft are equipped with a rocket-propelled parachute that allows the aircraft to safely reach the ground at a slow descent rate while deployed. If the engine stops for any reason, you’ll glide down safely because the motor is not needed land.

What Is The Cancellation Policy?
You must give Hang Gliding Hawaii at least 24 hours notice in advance before cancelling or rescheduling your reservation to avoid being charged. If notice is not given on time and the spot cannot be filled, you will be charged the full amount of your booked flight.

Are There Any Discounts?
Hang Gliding Hawaii offers Kama’aina, military, student and senior citizen discounts with identification.

What Is The Passenger Weight Limit?
240 pounds

Can I Bring My Own Camera On The Aircraft?:
No, for safety reasons Hang Gliding Hawaii can’t risk anything loose going through the propeller.

What Should I Wear?
Flight suits and equipment will be provided.

When Can We Fly?
Early mornings are the best time to fly. Each flight is weather permitting and reservations are required.
