The dream of flying has haunted man’s imagination for thousands of years. From the Greek myth of “Icarus and Daedalus” to the early scientific inquiries of DaVinci, Mankind has sought the freedom and exhilaration of flight.
Now the combination of advanced aerodynamics and space age materials makes it possible for almost anyone to fulfill this dream through hang gliding. Today’s gliders are sophisticated, incredibly stable aircraft providing pilots with flight distance and duration capabilities limited only by weather conditions and skill.
Hang gliding ranks among the world’s fastest growing sports. There are an estimated 90,000 hang gliders worldwide, with thousands more taking to the skies each year.
With safe, easily managed, reliable gliders, the sport has become popular among both men and women. Our students have ranged in age from 11 to 72.
