7 Hills uses modern, state of the art sky diving equipment:
– Ram Air (square) parachutes that actually glide for slow descents and soft landings.
– Automatic Activation Devices (AAD) in the unlikely event that your reserve parachute must be used.
– Helmet, goggles, jumpsuit, altimeter, and radio enable us to help you fly your parachute and make a safe, soft landing.
– Two Cessna 182 aircraft, both flown by commercially licensed pilots.
We offer 2 types of first jump skydive instruction and training programs.
You can choose from either one for your first skydive:
1) Solo IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) Skydive (similar to static line, but you are not attached to the plane)
OR
2) A Tandem Skydive.
We will make your first jump a safe and exciting adventure. There is absolutely nothing like the feeling you get when you make your first skydive! Skydiving in Wisconsin is more than jumping out of an airplane. It’s stepping out into a different world, a world of human flight, where you can actually FLY! Try it once and you will never be the same! Whenever you look skyward, you’ll want to be up there. Come jump with the skydivers that do it for the love of the sport! Go for it!

Instruction:
Solo IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment):
Instructor Assisted Deployment is a training method that opens your parachute almost immediately upon leaving the aircraft (about 3-4 seconds of freefall). You are never attached to the plane (like static-line) and the deployment sequence is identical to the way experienced skydivers open their own parachutes. This thrilling, solo, ‘do it by yourself’ method is also a way to train to become a licensed skydiver. Well over half of our students choose the IAD jump, even if they want to only jump once. Classes are held most Saturdays (or Sunday by special reservation), April through October. Training starts in the morning and if weather permits, jump in the afternoon (from 3500 feet!) Radio contact assists you in landing your parachute safely (about 4-5 minute canopy ride). A color photo of your exit is available for purchase. Reservations required.
Solo IAD Requirements:
You must be 18 or over, want to have fun, be in good health, and weigh no more than 220 pounds in order to jump with us. No prior experience is necessary. Please refrain from alcohol for at least 12 hours before the course. Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. You must bring a valid government issued ID (Driver’s License, State ID, passport). Also, please bring your PATIENCE as we cannot control the weather and other factors. Thanks.
Tandem:
Jump from 10,000 feet attached to your instructor with a parachute built for two! Go along for the ride of your life! Tandem skydiving has made it easy to enjoy the exciting sport of skydiving. You will be harnessed to the front of a fully licensed, professional and friendly tandem instructor. Your instructor is in charge every step of the way, from aircraft exit, to freefall, (for about 30 seconds at 120 MPH!), to a comfortable, accurate landing (about 5-7 minutes). For more fun, you can purchase a video of your entire amazing jump taken by one of our aerial photographers. About a half an hour of training. Appointment necessary.
Tandem Requirements:
You must be 18 or over, want to have fun, be in good health. Tandem limits are usually 220 pounds, but special requirements are necessary if you weigh more than 200 pounds, so please call us. No prior experience is necessary. Please refrain from alcohol for at least 12 hours before the course. Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. You must bring a valid government issued ID (Drivers License, State ID, passport). Also, please bring your PATIENCE as we can not control the weather and other factors. Thanks.
